   Here is my completed fashion magazine!! :) Amber Pascal's Magazine

   I have now completed my final page, the interview. 

  Following the marble background theme, I added another marble background to the cottage core page.

   I decided to add a background to my table of contents.

 Today, I updated my table of contents. I made it more interesting to the eye and more magazine-like. 

    Today, I added drop shadows behind my uploaded images. This made my pictures pop out against the flat background. 

  I now have created my table of contents. 

   Today, I added wording to my edgy aesthetic page. 

   It is not yet completed, but I replaced my rockstar aesthetic for an edgy one. I cut out the background from my pictures and added a marble background to the page. 

      Today, I made my cottage core page more aesthetically pleasing. I cut the background from my pictures and aligned the wording to the left side. Additionally, I added a footer. 

    Today I discussed my portfolio progress with my AICE Media Studies teacher,  Ms. Mogan. My teacher was very pleased with my work but made a few suggestions. She suggested I fill the blank spaces on my magazine cover and look at fashion magazines in stores.      I updated my cover page to be more exciting and appealing to the eye. I also updated a page, making it more interesting  and adding an Audrey Hepburn quote. 

  Here,  I added the rockstar aesthetic.

  Today, I added a page on Cottagecore aesthetic. 

     So far, I have created a draft cover and a draft first page. The draft first page is an outline of the vintage fashion aesthetic and thrifting. I even included a picture of me in a red vintage DKNY crop top that I found in a thrift store in New York City.

     Today, I am proceeding to update my Component 1 Foundation Portfolio. As stated in my previous update, I will be covering  coquette, model off-duty, vintage, cottagecore, skater, dark academia, elevated basic/modern, and rockstar aesthetics.  I also will cover celebrity fashion with Kendall Jenner, Hailey Bieber, Lily Rose Depp, Harry Styles, and Conan Gray. I have inserted some outfits worn by these celebrities and outfits in some of these aesthetics found on Pinterest.   

      Today, I am updating my blog on my ideas for my magazine for the AICE Media Studies as Component 1 Foundation Portfolio. As I said in my previous update, my magazine will cover  different fashion aesthetics, celebrity fashion, styling tips, body positivity, and current events in the fashion world. I will include coquette, model off-duty, vintage, cottagecore, skater, dark academia, and rockstar aesthetics. Each aesthetic will have its own color scheme and outfits. I will cover celebrity fashion with Kendall Jenner, Hailey Bieber, Lily Rose Depp, Harry Styles, and Conan Gray. As for styling tips, my magazine will highlight ways to dress certain clothing pieces for specific events. I will spread body positivity with quotes and inclusive models. Finally, the magazine will cover current events in the fashion world, such as copyright infringements and new innovations. 

      Since I published the AICE Media Studies as Component 1 Foundation Portfolio Contract, we have changed plans. I am no longer working with Jocelyn on a short film. Instead, I am working individually on a fashion magazine. In my magazine, I will highlight different aesthetics, celebrity fashion, and styling tips. Additionally, I will also focus on body positivity and current events in the fashion world. 

   Jocelyn and I are working together and our idea is to film it at my house. We are going to have a regular chick flick entrance of me getting ready for bed and then after when I go to sleep, I am going to jump out of my body and scream. 

                     For this assignment, I chose to watch the movie, Spencer, starring Kristen Stewart as Princess Diana. It follows Princess Diana through mental struggles and eating disorders that she faced with the pressures of being part of the royal family and being married to Prince Charles, who had been having an affair.           For emphasis and comparison, the movie uses many interesting camera angles and shots. These angles and shots show the reality of the psychological trauma Princess Diana went through behind closed doors.  To start off, the establishing shot sets the mood by using a quiet field of trees. This empty field reflects how Princess Diana feels. She feels desolate and alone living as a royal. However, the trees may represent power. Perhaps, this is to show the power the royal family and public media had over her.        Another scene I found to contain ...

           I love learning about the study of media! It shows me how the world communicates ideas, themes, stories, and values. I hope to gain a deeper understanding of the meanings behind publications and how they are produced.
